Juniors have had a busy weekend racing!
On Saturday we did the Devon Youth Games, I was Aquathlon Team Manager and had Emma in the team. Sophie and Joe weren't eligible for the Aquathlon as they had County swim times so took part in the Athletics. Exeter were 3rd overall out of the 10 Devon authorities.
On Sunday Emma took part in the Plymouth Aquathlon which was her first open water race (although the swim on Saturday would have been good practise, 4 in a lane and no staggered start!) and Duncan went up to Bristol and took part in the Bristol Triathlon Festival Junior Race.
Both in training and racing the juniors are all very focused, determined and work incredibly hard. Not all of them race as it's not the main focus of their training but if you are around on a Friday feel free to come and congratulate them on their efforts.
