Teignmouth Aquathlon
This year's inter and Intra Club Aquathlon will be:
Teignmouth
Saturday 26th September 2009
Start 10.00a.m.
Venue: Close to the slipway at the end of the beach (where we normally swim).
Course: Out to the end buoy and either to the first or second bouy (depending on water conditons) back to the first buoy and then diagonally back to the beach.
Transition on the seas front
Run along the seafront and up the steep(ish) hill into the fields, turn and come hurtling down the hill to finish at the lighthouse.
Cost £2.00 (most of which will go to the lifeguards)
The event is a training session and not a race, but you will get a time and position.
Barbie afterwards, so bring grub and fluids for imbibing afterwards. We will probably go to The Ness if the weather is inclement.

teignmouth aquathon
Dave
The Aquathon clashes with the Hospiscare one-mile swim at Roadford Reservoir which some of us have been training for.
Come rain or shine, but mostly very choppy seas and sea-sickness, we have trained! We have also been working hard to publicise this event as we feel it's a very worthwhile cause - even to the extent of having our ugly mugs in the newspapers!
Maybe some of those who do the Aquathon will consider sponsoring those of us doing the charity swim instead then?! www.justgiving/karengutans
Have a good one,
Karen
