First Road Bike!

Ok, having just about made it round the 30 mile Club ride this morning, it is clear I need a 'proper' bike (and to get fitter!)!!!

I understand I need a 'road bike'. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions on what I should be looking for?!

I'm 5'8'' so from what I've been told that's 52 or maybe 54 frame?

What makes should I be looking at? What sort of cost? What materials ... so many questions, so much choice ... soooo confused(.com)!

Any help would be very much appreciated!

I'll be paying the Bike Shed a visit too, so I'm sure they'll help, but just wondered what you guys have experienced with your bikes.

can you get your bike through the goverment bike scheme ? if not is there anyone you know that can as it will save you at least 30% and you pay it back over a year. ask Rob about which bike.
