Westonbirt Triathlon
I did Westonbirt sprint on Sunday (second year running). It's based in the grounds of a private school with the 400m swim in a 25m pool in the leisure centre there. You're started at 5s intervals with 4 or 5 in a lane. There's a bit of a jog round to transition in the tennis courts, then off on an anti-clockwise cycle loop of 23km which is pretty flat. The temperature was good this year, not too hot, but there was a bit of a gusty wind which made for slower cycle times than last year. Then a nice 5k run loop using roads in the school grounds and local, quiet lanes. Didn't see any traffic.
I was a bit slower this year at 1:12:20, 19th overall (225 finishers) and 2nd M40!

Re: Westonbirt Triathlon
Well done, Paul, excellent result! Sounds a good triathlon - except for the 4-5 swimmers in a lane!
