Focus and Fly Ltd was created to bring together a variety of quality trainings and workshops, one of which is to teach the art of Goal Mapping.
As a Certified Goal Mapping Practitioner I am passionate about helping athletes set goals to improve their performance and having competed in triathlons whilst living in Jersey, believe it is an ideal tool for triathletes of any standard or age.

Within the Company we also have a Goal Mapping workshop which is tailor made for children and delivered by Sharon, who specialises in this area. Sharon is also a licensed practitioner and CRB checked.

Setting Goals for your triathlon season is important. Having Goals will help you stay motivated and give a sense of purpose for what you are doing and why you want to do it.

Goal Mapping is a method developed by Brian Mayne in the mid 90's to powerfully embed sporting, personal, and career goals within the subconscious mind to achieve success. Learning the most effective way to set goals is the number one prerequisite for success for any athlete, individual, team or organisation.

So, how does it work?

Setting goals is a natural function of the brain. Throughout recorded history, the most successful Men and Women have been those who have learnt to develop their natural goal setting ability into a powerful skill for achievement.

Whereas traditional goal setting techniques focus on left-brain words and endless repetition, Brian Mayne's Goal Mapping uses imagery. It is
a unique Whole Brain system designed to connect your consciously chosen goal to your subconscious mind, so that your subconscious begins to move you and your goal towards each other automatically.

Your subconscious mind works like a helpful autopilot-once a conscious decision or goal has been set, a sub-conscious process is triggered that begins to influence the transformation of the decision first into an attitude, then into an action and ultimately through to an achievement.

Athletes are taught to map out their key goals for their season and beyond and then create their own Goal Map by using a balance of key words to activate their left- brain and symbols or pictures to activate their right-brain thus creating a whole-brain activity. The Goal Map is then placed where it can be visually seen so as to remain a constant reminder of the athletes set goal or goals.

Why Goal Mapping?

It can be applied in a number of ways to help you achieve a variety of different objectives. Every area of your training – like any area of an organisation – needs to be goal orientated for success.

The programme will help you develop the difference that makes the difference i.e. your Drive, Attitude and Confidence. It has been designed to give you the information, inspiration and enablement to achieve goals, the wherewithal to pursue your purpose, and the training you need to coach yourself to success.
It has been proven that people who set goals are more likely to achieve them than those who do not.

Please call David or Sharon on 0845 8878519 to arrange an initial consultation. There is no charge or obligation for this consultation and it will enable us to chat before you make a decision.
