Aquathlon Series 2013

Online and postal entries are now open for next year's Aquathlon series as organised by Exeter Tri Club.

Dates for your diaries for the 2013 series are as follows.

Race 1: Dawlish - 3rd February
Race 2: Sidmouth - 10th March
Race 3: Exeter Middlemoor - 7th April
Race 4: University Of Exeter - 26th May

Standard races will consist of a 600m pool swim and 5km run. As every year there will be shorter races for novices and some races for children at Exeter Middlemoor only.

The details can be found on the website, under Events, Aquathlon, and then in the paper entry form. But in case you can't be bothered to look it up! -

TriStar Start (age8) 50m swim / 600m approx run
TriStar 1 (age 9-10) 100m swim / 1200m approx run
TriStar 2 (age 11-12) 200m swim / 1800m approx run
TriStar 3 (age 13-14) 300m swim / 2400m approx run

I'd very much recommend it - my 2 love them. The distances are quite do-able for a first time.

but be aware of the age rules - it's based on age at end of year, so if your 8-yr old is 9 before end of December 2013 they'll be in the 9-10 group.
