Freak Events Triathlon Training

We at Freak Events are continually asked if we provide training and advice for triathlons, especially to help with Open Water Swimming.

Due to such high demand, we are delighted to announce we have arranged eight sessions at two locations in the South West:

Marine Lake in Weston super Mare (Sea water, sheltered lake) and Roadford Lake near Okehampton (fresh water lake).

Freak Events presents triathlons at both these locations throughout the season so we are highly experienced at the conditions and differences between these two fantastic locations.

These training events are primarily designed for complete beginners and novice athletes, but experienced triathletes are also most welcome. The focus on beginners and novices means conditions and safety personnel on hand offers a totally safe swim, with the knowledge of being supervised on a set distanced course.

There will be significant safety craft and first aid cover along with experienced open water swimmers and qualified coaches on hand to ensure your safety in the waters, which is provided to ease any anxieties that will be naturally present for beginners and novices.

There will also be Wattbikes and marked run routes at both locations to give you a full triathlon training workout if you feel up to it!

The FREAK STORE is on its way!

Freak Events are pleased to annouce a new division to the business for the benefit of all of you, our valued athletes.

In the coming weeks we will be launching a retail store online which will offer the latest high quality products including; wetsuits, tri-suits, goggles, cycling and running gear and accessories...

Freak Events - Volunteering

Our events are only as good as the volunteers that attend and help out and we are very grateful to the volunteers that soon become part of the team.

We can never have enough volunteers and are always looking for people to help and join in.

By helping out we will gladly supply a packed lunch, event t-shirt, pay travelling expenses (0.20p/mile) and offer free entry into any of our events or £20 on the day - but much more than that you will also have great fun and a sense of achievement after being inspired by one of the many competitors that are taking part in the event!!
