Events for Summer

From the middle of April the Wdnesday Evening 10 mile time trials will be starting. These are open to anyone and can be signed up on the night, unless they are "open" races, when you need to fill in an application form a week or so in advance of the race.

They are on Wednesday evenings and start near Daisymount Roundabout, hurtling down the hill and along the Rockbeare Straight to the end of the road at the top of the hill after Clyst Hydon. You then turn round at the funny semi-roundabout/junction and head back to finish near the petrol station at the bottom of the Daisymount Hill.


The other events are the Manic Midweek Duathlon Series at Castle Coombe Race Circuit. These are about 2 hours away near Swindon. They are a 2 mile run, 10 mile cycle, 2 mile run format, apart from THE MONSTER, which is 2 mile/10 mile/2 mile/10 mile/2 mile.

The first evening 10 is the last Wednesday in April (28th) on the Daisymount course. The next two following that are open events that you need to enter, if you want details let me know. 5/5 is organised by Sid Valley and the 12/5 is organised by Exeter Wheelers. They are both on the dual carriageway not the Daisymount course.
The ones on the Daisymount course sign on at the International Swimming Centre for a 7pm start and that's every Wednesday after. You must be a cycling club or tri club member to enter and I think it's £3.50 ish.
