Local races over the Summer

In a revision-baffled haze ive signed up for a number of triathlons this summer seeing as I didnt get my act together and get on the London Tri Olympic distance.

In case anyone is interested there are a few tri's going on around here in August.

Firstly, on the 8th August there is the Bideford tri. 400m river swim, 22km bike and 5km run. About 80 of the 250 spaces are full and its 28 pounds for BTF members.

Secondly there is a tri in Sherborne, Dorset, on the 29th August. 400m swim, 30km bike and 7.5 km run (i think) Still spaces on that one as well.

Ooo, Bideford looks very tempting!

Please tell your group about the Hospiscare One-Mile Swim at Roadford Lake on the 25th September - hopefully the water will be a bit warmer by then!

Fully marshalled, lake-based - great for training and beginners, and there is also a timed elite race.

Yes, this is definitely a great swim. I did it last year, and have signed up again for this.

The event is extremely well organised, great atmosphere, great fun, great cause!
