SEA SWIMS START

The first of the Teignmouth Sea Swims will be at 7.00p.m. on Monday 24th May.

OK, its a few weeks late, but the cold weather has kept the sea temperatures down to 9 degrees at present and this is probably going to result in a two week delay in the warmer waters from the Gulf Stream coming up the Channel.

We are also going to put ion some Saturday morning swims at Odicombe and Babbacombe to give people a change in scenery and possibly some nice clear water.

Rob and I are working on a Training Weekend at Burgh Island. Rob is looking for a suitable campsite which will have higher hygiene levels than the one I found last year. We will have lifeguard support for a couple of swims around the island and there will be a couple of runs arranged on the coastal footpaths. I'm suggesting we dispense with taking bikes as the narrow roads will be full of Grockles and therefore will be both congested and dodgy.
