Sea Swimming

Some people have been asking about our sea swims, so just to update you:

Sea swims will, hopefully, start end May beginning of June, most likely on a Tuesday evening, at Teignmouth. Roger is currently sorting the lifeguard cover, and we will let you know details when we have more definite info.

At least this gives the sea a bit more time to warm up!

We will not be using the University pool this year, but will continue at Middlemoor for the two sessions on Mondays, and the Thursday session.

does anyone fancy a midweek sea swim in the next few weeks before the club sessions start? i thought maybe a tuesday or wednesday at either budleigh or teignmouth in 1 group for about 30-45 mins? obviously no lifeguards etc.

how about a sea swim bank holiday monday as middlemoor is closed? i thought budleigh either morning or early evening?

Yes, Budleigh Bank Holiday Monday sounds good. I'm doing GWR on Sunday and had planned to swim Monday somewhere, so the sea sounds as good a place as any (ok, maybe a bit colder though!). Of course if we have storms like last weekend, I may give it a miss!

Mornings are good for me, but maybe not too early as it's Bank Holiday!

Ellie, you can hire them from IronBridge Runner in Exeter for the season, or buy one. Or you can hire/buy them from TriUK in Yeovil (www.triuk.co.uk).

Or you could try posting on this forum (under equipment) and see if anyone has one you could borrow/buy. I have one, but think it'll be far too big for you
