Just noticed that the OSS Burgh Island swim is on Sunday 5th July. I assume this is the one Dave did last year.

Did you find anything out - when or if this swim is on? Can't see anything listed anywhere? Might be good for a few of us from the club to participate ? Very Happy

Hi Ged/Nik

The Burgh Island swim on Sunday 5 July was one organised by Kate Rew of the OSS. They had a film crew, and about 15 swimmers turned out in the end, including our own Jeremy Wickham!!!

I don't think it was the 'official' Burgh Island race, and I don't know when that is! Sue Scott did it last year didn't she?

Yes Karen, I think Dave Pee also participated. Shall have to ask about, but have a feeling that maybe the offical event isn't on this year. I seem to remember the actual race being organized by a pub close my, which laid on a BBQ post race.

Was talking to Sue on Thursday, and she thought the race is usually August Bank Holiday weekend.
