Easter Monday's Ride

James got 19 people out for the first of the Club Training Rides and so found that keeping a large bunch of triathletes in a group is like herding cats.

Helen had a puncture outside Killerton and Karen had her saddle raised a couple of times, and we found ourselves on the wrong road twice - so nothing new to the club there then.

By 20 miles there was a general murmur of "coffee" and as we were outside Escot it seemed a good idea to pop in for a brew. We lost six people who hammered back to Exeter.

After coffee and a cake we climbed the hill to Daisy Mount before the mad dash down the Rockbeare Straight and straight past the turn off to Broadclyst (James had been told that we needed to turn to Dog Village) and as Dog Village wasn't signed we all sailed past it (The will teach James for listening to the local knowledge of a Yorkshire man).

Back at the Arena the Pressley's and Karen went round the car park twice in order to get 30 miles on the computer.

The next Club Ride will be after the Sidmouth Aquathlon, so bring your bike.
