Junior Swim Sessions
IMPORTANT INFORMATION -
Changes take effect from Saturday 18 January 2014
Dear Parents/Swimmers
We're absolutely delighted that the Junior Swim Session is proving so popular, and it was great to see lots of new swimmers last Saturday.
We're trying really hard to get an additional session which will ensure everyone gets to attend at least one session a week. Until then, we're going to have to bereally strict on numbers, and also only allow 'try out' swims if there is room after all the members have been allocated a lane. This is to ensure swimmers have enough space to swim safely and effectively.
To make this as straight-forward as possible, from next week (18th January) we're going to work the sign in as follows:
We hope this will only be a temporary measure until we have more pool time, as we want to make sure everyone who wants to gets the chance to swim.
We'd also like to thank parents for their support last week, particularly those who helped out.
Don't forget if your child had a try out session, they need to join the Club before the next session.
Best wishes,
Lou and Pete

Did you know we are also on Facebook, search for ‘Exeter Triathlon Club’ and ask to join! A great way to keep in contact and organize informal training sessions, lift share to events etc.
BREAKING NEWS!
Exeter Tri Club have been offered additional pool time – hurrah! (Thanks Tyna Crow!)
We are looking at an early morning (Wed 6.15am-7.15am) at Pyramids, and possibly extending the Saturday session at Northbrook to include a second session 5.30-6.30pm.
We will keep you updated and let you know as soon as we know ourselves!

To make this as straight-forward as possible, from next week (18th January) we're going to work the sign in as follows:
- Juniors sign in and pay upstairs as they come in (by 4.25pm please) and put their name in their usual lane, or the most appropriate one if it's their first swim or their lane is full.
- There will be 4 lanes of 7 swimmers max, which will operate as first come, first served.
- If capacity is reached swimmers will be turned away, so please could all parents ensure their child is allocated a lane if they are intending to leave them, and make sure we have an emergency contact number for you.
- Exeter Tri Club members will be given preference over swimmers trying out.
We hope this will only be a temporary measure until we have more pool time, as we want to make sure everyone who wants to gets the chance to swim.
